Good Evening All:

As has been well chronicled by other here the win tonight at Iowa State was huge. We'll return home on Saturday to take on Texas Tech who has not won a conference road game this season, we need a win and if you're in the area get some tickets and join us for the fun.

We will also honor NU's 1990-1991 team that won 26 games prior to losing in the first round of the NCAA tournament in Minneapolis. Eric Piatkowski will be inducted into the Nebraska Basketball Hall of Fame as well.

Now regarding Coach Collier, I will say right now that I will be greatly disappointed if we let him go after this season. Besides being an outstanding person I think the level of players has improved over the past year or so and we are on the brink of some exciting things here in Lincoln. I think this talk of letting Coach go can be quieted down if we can win 4 of our remaining 5 games, doing so would put us at 20-9 going into the Big XII Tournament in Dallas. A win or two in Dallas and we may very well be headed for the NCAA Tournament, and if that happens I don't know how we can let him go (if we do let him go we - referring to my wife and I - will seriously reconsider any further donations to NU which means no more tickets but I can find other places to spend that money quite easily).

For those who are not up to speed on Oklahoma State coach Eddie Sutton, Coach Sutton has taken a medical leave and will enter an Alcohol/Drug treatment program and will be on leave for the remainder of the season. His son Sean Sutton will coach the team for the rest of the season.
