They will, last year they had some 50+ games on the HuskersNSide.
About 90% of the reason I subscribe to it is for the baseball
season. I seem to remember hearing that ESPN isn't going to carry
as many college baseball games as it did last year.
I don't think tomorrow's game is even on the radio so I'd be really
suprised if they broadcast it video or otherwise. Some of the early
games are tough for them to do.
The baseball team fan base is clearly getting bigger, I was really
suprised to see them not carry it, even on the radio. It doesn't
cost that much to broadcast a game.
I have pretty high hopes for this season. My one big worry is not
just replacing Gordon, but now replacing Bohanan, who was the heir
apparent to Gordon. I wouldn't say he is as good, but I thought
he'd be the best player NU had this year. Oh well. If we're going
to do well this year, it's purely up to one thing: pitching. We're
gonna be really good on the bump, maybe even better than last year
(assuming we can recover from losing Childress, one of the better
coaches in the Big XII). Childress taught the boys what they called
"The Childress Slider" and it was a great ground ball pitch all year
round.
I can't wait. On my list it goes 1) Football, 2) Baseball, a very
close 2nd, 3) Basketball, 4) Women's Volleyball, 5) everything else.
I played college ball at Hasting College and I am the kind of guy
who will take a vacation day on opening day. I have been a White Sox
fan since watching Carlton Fisk when I was a catcher in little
league, so you can imagine last season was as good as it gets for
me. GO SOX!
