This is a Coach Callahan quote from the "Jackson and Jackson" article:

""There's no doubt in my mind we will be a better-looking football team as
we take the field in September," he said. "We'll fit the profile of what a
Big 12 team should look like. This class will certainly add to the size
dimension that we're looking for."

Am I reading into this, or is this a subtle slight of his current
(inherited) players?

This is a trait that I see in Callahan that I don't particularly like:
Blaming players.  From his "dumbest team in the NFL" comment, to Joe Dailey,
to the periodic defensive lapses, to the offensive line's play - and now, to
today's press conference.  Every time I want to like this guy (and I pretty
much do), he goes and says something like this.
