I agree. I have seen more commercials and heard more commentary about the Rose Bowl then I have about the MNC game.

(yet) and I am lousy at predictions, and I'm not going to the game, so
I'm not sure what useful comments I could make.

It's a shame that the ESPN/BCS unholy alliance has caused all the
non-BCS bowls to fade into meaninglessness. There have been some very
good football games! The Georgia/VT game last night, the Iowa/Texas
game was good, TTech/Minn was an instant classic, and the Navy/BC game
was very compelling. Too bad we only get the Rose Bowl countdown..

Maybe people are genuinely disinterested. It really doesn't seem to have the hoopla bowl games did years ago not even in Nebraska. In the pre-BCS days the Cotton Bowl was one of the big four. New Years Day was major bowl day and you got to see the Cotton, Sugar, Rose, and Orange Bowls. To go from no bowl two years ago, to the Alamo last year, and to the Cotton this year shows big strides. I think this one will be extremely tough for NU to win. I think they can win it but it will be tough. I remember saying a couple of years ago if Callahan has the team back in the top 25 in 3-4 years I will say he has done a good job. So far he is on that pace.
