Hello Husker Fans,
Even though 'fans' comes from 'fanatic' it doesn't mean that we're all
dumb :) There is definitely a distinction to be made here between
guys like Freeman, and guys like Amie or even Glover when he
decommitted from NU.
I would absolutely call Amie that if he did it in the same fashion as
Freeman. I would really have a lot less problem with Freeman if he had
been man enough to at least make a phone call.
A text message is like quitting your job by sending an email to your
boss. A real man confronts people face to face and doesn't hide behind
anything.
For instance, when Glover left NU, I had nothing bad to say about the
guy. I hated to lose him, but he did it like a man and I have no
problem with that. Amie has made it no secret that he's visiting
schools and looking at other options. It's been open and up front
about it and didn't take a secret visit and text the University that
he wouldn't be coming.
Just for the record, I didn't call Freeman any names either, but I can
certainly understand why someone might.
