[personal] [Husker] Lack of Interest

Hello Husker Fans,

I think you may be correct about the location of the game affecting
the interest. FYI, the forecast (according to Weather.com) is for
Sunny and 52, but I imagine that early in the morning will probably be
in the early 40s.

I just don't think I agree with "no reasonable expectation that this
game will produce any different result."

I thought, as did many people I've talked to, that we could have and
should have beaten OU. I think we outplayed them in MOST facets of the
game and a few bad breaks and missing a few key plays we would
normally make kept us from winning on the scoreboard and not just the
stat book.

I'm not promising we're going to win Monday, although I think we can.
But to say that it's "unreasonable" to think that we might win? Even
from a pessimistic standpoint I'd say that's going too far. Even
Vegas thinks we have a shot, otherwise they'd have the line at 21!
It's still at 1.5 if you're wondering.

Are you trying to generate some traffic on the list? (Just kidding)

GF> Good Morning All:

GF> I can probably sum it up pretty easily, Dallas isn't Phoenix, San
GF> Diego or Florida. While Dallas may be a nice city full of history
GF> etc., the weather there on New Year's Day over the past several
GF> years has not exactly been "Chamber of Commerce" weather. I would
GF> say this is no better than playing in Lincoln on New Year's Day,
GF> the start time of the game is also very undesirable as well.

GF> No doubt Auburn is a quality opponent but they are top 10 rated
GF> and we are just hanging on at the bottom of the top 25 polls. We
GF> are also coming off a pretty disappointing game with Oklahoma a
GF> few weeks ago, with no reasonable expectation that this game will produce any different result.

GF> Gary Fead
GF> Omaha
