Good Morning All:

I can probably sum it up pretty easily, Dallas isn't Phoenix, San Diego or Florida. While Dallas may be a nice city full of history etc., the weather there on New Year's Day over the past several years has not exactly been "Chamber of Commerce" weather. I would say this is no better than playing in Lincoln on New Year's Day, the start time of the game is also very undesirable as well. 

No doubt Auburn is a quality opponent but they are top 10 rated and we are just hanging on at the bottom of the top 25 polls. We are also coming off a pretty disappointing game with Oklahoma a few weeks ago, with no reasonable expectation that this game will produce any different result.
