Okay, All I was doing is just trying to make conversation to
relate something of my experiences. I was mainly taking a situation
to which you referred and gave my take on the general concept. I
didn't say you condoned it or agreed with that concept or promoted
that line of thinking. But, you did bring up the concept. Unless
the archives are wrong you are quoted as saying,
"At the 7:00 mark of the first half, Nebraska has 7 team fouls,
Hawaii 0.
That might have facilitated Sadler's second technical and ejection
two minutes
later".
My whole post was just based on the mind set some have and have
had over the years that if the fouls are lopsided, to which you
alluded, there is something wrong with the officiating. I don't know
if you feel that way or not but you brought up the mind set.
Maybe you don't need a needless, condescending take from a ref or
a former ref implying that you said things that you didn't (which
didn't happen in the first place). But, if you truly feel that way
you are a very arrogant individual. Frankly, I didn't disagree with
anything you said in my post so why you are upset I am not real
sure. I posted about a thought about something you presented and that's all.
One thing you are wrong about, though. Officiating competency
is NOT a matter of opinion any more than competency in any job or
endeavor is based on opinion.
Here is your exact quote just so you don't think I am saying or
referring to something you didn't say:
"Again, competancy of officiating is a matter of opinion (hopefully
a knowledgable one)".
