  There was really no reason for Rodriguez to go to Bama unless they were to offer him CRAZY $$$.

  West Virginia is a superior program these days, with a better win percentage in the both past 10 yrs and past 15 yrs.

  Rodriguez has Sophs Pat White and Steve Slaton coming back, Slaton will be a Heisman Candidate. West Virginia is Rodriguez's home state and he is also a WVU alum. Similar situation to Schiano at Rutgers both with their programs at high levels.






       $12 million and a guaranteed five years is pretty good in anyone's book.  That is two million a year and would double his salary this year.  According to what I could find he is making just over 1 million per year now.  Most people would jump at the chance to get a million dollar raise.  I am not saying there aren't more considerations than money but I doubt he stayed in WV just because of the program and he is a nice guy.  I am willing to bet there were some let's say cash considerations.
