No. I'm happy to stop blaming Zac if you guys stop
blaming the defense, Cosgrove, Callahan, etc.

Sounds to me like you are blaming the play calling.
It's Callahan's fault, is it?

This is kind of getting to be like what came first the chicken or the egg? Very few times does a team play to the best of their ability, the coaches coach to the best of their ability, and there are no errors in a loss. Usually when a team loses it is because something went wrong unless one team or the other is totally outmanned. Even then one can usually point to things that didn't go right. Because of this there is "blame". I would rather use the term 'assessment" rather than "blame" but sometimes it can seem like one and the same.

The same can be said in NU's loss to OU. I appreciate what Zac Taylor has done for and meant to NU as much as anyone but he didn't play well that night. That isn't asserting "blame". It is just telling it like it is. The loss certainly wasn't all Taylor's play but it contributed. There isn't going to be a lot to talk about if after a loss we can't matter of factly and respectfully assess why a loss took place and who didn't perform as well as they might have.

I have never learned anything when I was the one doing the talking.
