So does that mean that they should have been denied a chance at a championship because they had one bad game? Does that mean they weren't one of the best two teams in college football that year because they lost to ISU? Even the greatest of any sport can have a bad day and lose.
When the 82' NU team lost to Penn St on a very bad call, did that mean PSU was the better team. Was NU really not one of the best two teams in college football that year? Should that call and game have cost them a chance at the championship?

Sorry forgot to finish this sentence before I sent it.
What it should have said, "How about ISU when they beat NU in 1992?"
NU was ranked #7 and ISU was something like 2-6 coming into the game
(sorry I can't remember exactly.)"
Sorry to reply to my own post.
