It was also late in August when he transferred. I suspect if he 
decided to leave in the middle of the summer, he would have gone 
somewhere he could have earned the starting spot. I did not know he had 
graduated already, but he could certainly have gone to a IAA school in 
need of a QB and started for a year. 

Could he have gone to OU and earned the starting job ? Very possible, 
but then if he doesn't pick up the O quick enough, his draft status 
drops. Big risk for someone who expects to be a high draft pick.

mentioned? Makes me wonder why he wouldn't have gone somewhere else to 
play immediately (assuming he did in fact graduate) Maybe he (gasp) 
really wants to play in Lincoln...
