[Husker] Frustration . . . .

WHOA, Guy!!! No one even mentioned Frank's name, nor made comparisons -- except to respond to the comment "Look how far Callahan has come in just three (short?) years."
NO ONE is calling for BC's head, nor suggesting anything of the sort. But BC is not up for coach of the year -- that title belongs to Schiano or Petrino who pulled historically bad teams to BCS levels, and maybe even Stoops.. We aren't at the BCS level yet (proven last night) and NU is a traditionally strong program.
Let me state clearly, I do not want BC fired, nor do I think he is a bad coach. So where does he belong in the general scheme of coaches who have taken over major programs? (Some errors in fact here as I am too lazy to locate the exact data).
Coker (now fired with an 80% W/L record) won a national title in his first year as HC.
Stoops and Carroll won NC's is their second year as HC.
Fulmer and Tressell won NC's in or after their fourth year and won conference titles within their first three.
Spurrier won conference titles in his first three years and won the NC in his fifth (???) year.
Solich played in the B12CG in his first two years (winning one) and played for the national title in his third.
Even Barnett won the B12N four of his five years with CU and won one B12C.
On the other hand, Houston Nutt took six years to even get to the SEC title game and has never won it.
I don't want to get tinto the never-ending Callahan/Solich debate, but it is pretty clear that other coaches have made greater turnarounds in a much shorter period of time than Callahan (and yes, I agree in advance that Solich's record was NOT a turnaround).

More shortsightedness......Frank is gone, get over it and move on---maybe
you should be an Ohio U. Bobcat fan!!
I for one, along with many Husker fans, firmly believe that we will be
annual front-runners for the Big 12 conference championship and beyond. The
foundation has been established, the young/maturing talent is in place with more
quality recruits on their way.
The ongoing Solich vs. Callahan conversations = real FRUSTRATION
