Witt has said publicly that he expects, and wants, to redshirt in
2007. Besides, if he IS good enough to have started next year if
Keller hadn't come in, then he's still only one unlucky play away from
getting to hit the field.

I think the only message the recruits should get is "the best player
plays", period. I haven't observed anything that tells me that isn't
how Callahan makes his roster. If a potential recruit isn't satisfied
with that scheme, then I would prefer he not select NU. If a kid wants
to be a big fish in a little pond, rather than be content to bide his
time behind someone more qualified than he, then he will likely be
happier somewhere other than Lincoln.

(And where did you read where we (the fans?) were told we absolutely,
positively must have some specific player?)
