[Husker] beck, etc

You could be correct that if Taylor goes down the season is over, but this
very well could have also been the case with Beck. With his departure, it
seems the team is losing unknown potential only. Last year Callahan was
doing everything possible to tap into that potential but it didn't come on
like one might expect from such a highly touted prospect. This could
actually help recruiting now that Callahan has built a pro-style offensive
system and there is a wide-open opportunity at QB; this year a backup and
next year a starter.
I'm much more concerned about the loss of Bowman than Beck.

So Harrison Beck's gone.... whether he was good enough, too good, foolish,
immature, etc, is now immaterial other than gossip.
The key is that this leaves us with three quarterbacks - Taylor, Ganz, and
Beau Davis, a senior and two sophomores. Beck may have been behind Ganz
and Davis, yet he was the quarterback that saw playing time when Taylor
went down last season.
Taylor goes down, this season is lost. With the complexity of this
offense, you don't walk on the field and move the offense, especially
given that our most glaring hole is replacing Ross and getting the run
game going.
I hope we see both Ganz and Davis on the field during the La Tech and
Nicholls State games.
