[Husker] Another OL in the Fold

Various sources on the Internet (so it must be true!) indicate that:
1. Stoops has agreed to the release and transfer to a conference opponent,
providing Chad is in good academic standing at the end of the semester.
2. Chad's father, although apparently a stout Husker fan, has recommended to
Chad that he carefully consider his decision before executing. My
understanding is that Chad is upset or unhappy with a situation at OU which
is potentially driving his decision. Recall that Chad isn't even 18 yet and
so maybe does need some time to reflect on his situation before making a
drastic change.
3. Chad was not offered a scholarship by NU. He did not participate in any
summer camps due to a broken hand. He was also informed at that time that NU
had their desired quota of centers (this, again, according to his family)
and so would not be taking a scholarship player at that position in the 2006
class. Chad initially veballed to FSU when they offered, then changed his
verbal to OU when OU offered. However, with Craig Roark moving to DT, and
Ricky Henry very possibly not qualifying out of high school, NU now has an
opening at Center.
Therefore, it is more accurate to say that Roark has asked for his release
from his OU scholarship and wishes to transfer to NU, but that this would
not become official until after the spring semester is completed, if at all.
