Hello Husker Fans,

NU completed the sweep of the Aggies today 6-0. Johnny Dorn (6-2)
(starting to wonder which Dorn will show up week to week) pitched a
complete game shutout. He went 9 innings, struck out 7, scattered 7
hits and didn't walk anyone. Dorn was very efficient today, he threw
  just 109 pitches.

The Huskers opened the scoring in the 3rd with a 1 out single by
Wehrle to plate Nimmo who had walked, stolen 2nd, and was then
  balked to 3rd.

It was a very close, 1 run ballgame until the 5th when Christy sent
the first pitch over the left field wall for a 3-run homer with 1
out. His 5th homer on the year gave the Huskers a 4-0 lead. The
Huskers added 2 more runs in the 6th with back-to-back RBI singles
  by Mort and Edlefsen.

The win was the 10th in a row for NU as they move to 28-5 on the
year (10-2 in the Big XII). They are behind Texas, who is 13-2
(27-12 overall) in the conference with a 5-4 win over Baylor.

On the week the Huskers took over #1 in ERA again coming into today
with a 3.16 ERA (over 3.21 by aTm). They are 3rd in batting average
(.325 before today) and 2nd in fielding (.975 before today).

HUGE week coming up for the Big Red. They face Creighton on Tuesday
at Hawks field in Lincoln, UNK at home as well, then travel to
Austin to take on those dirty Longhorns. Probably the biggest series
of the year thus far. Could very well be a determining factor for
the Big XII title. Tuesday's first pitch will be 6:35 and
  Wednesday's will be 1:05.

The Huskers are certainly playing well, however we should really
find out what they're made of next weekend.
