[Husker] Callahan likes Big XII title game; Tejas and OU don't...

Baylor is in favor of the CCG because they get a share regardless of who is in the game. Teams in the middle also get a share and even if they get to the game and get beat (ISU, KU, et al), they still have a good enough record for a bowl invite. The only teams with something to lose are those who would definitely get a BCS bid but put that bid at risk with a CCG. Others (CU?) know that winning the CCG is the only way they'll get the BCS invite so they are in favor. Thus only Top Five caliber programs are against the CCG (ergo, Texas, OU and NU). Callahan obviously has lost a BCS or national title invite by losing the CCG so he is still in favor it if. If NU gets better, BC will probably change his mind.

Whenever this topic comes up, it always seems like the teams that are near the top are the ones to complain about the title games! I wonder what the folks at Baylor think about the Big 12 title game?

Interesting story in the Journal-Star. Texas and
Oklahoma are campaigning to drop the conference title
game.

When the Big XII was formed 10 years ago, Nebraska was
the lone voice against a title game. But now,
Nebraska's football coach is in favor of the game.
