Well, again, if he was involuntarily intoxicated by GHB, then he could not
be expected to subsequently make rational decisions like "I think I've had
too much to drink".
Frank may have a drinking problem. But, if he did, do you think he could
have kept it hidden from Osborne? Maybe. Seems like coaches spend so much
time together that baing impaired by binge drinking (either at the time, or
as the result of a hangover or related long-term health problems) would be
difficult to conceal to someone close. Of course it's possible that Frank
developed a drinking problem, if he has one, after Osborne retired and left
Lincoln.
However, I strongly believe that given that Osborne hand-picked Solich for
the job, that he did not believe that Solich had a drinking or substance
problem at that time, and that it is unlikely that Osborne would be unaware
if Frank did in fact have one. So that leads me to give Frank a sporting
chance that he's a victim in this case. But I have no facts, of course.
