You are right. I went in and did some checking and he is included in the 
Nebraska Hall of Fame not the National.

He is listed as being from Hastings, NE.

Wow Lee!  I thought I came up with a difficult question!  Vance isn't
on the list in the Hall, only those born in Nebraska are.
