[Husker] How popular is Bo?

Out of fairness, they both deserve it at this point in the season. Bill
Callahan deserves the criticism he gets until the offense starts
producing. Let's hope that happens against ISU this weekend, because one
offensive TD isn't going to cut it against them.

Last year, Ross had 7 carries for 77 yards in the first half, and had we
run the ball more could have won the game. Callahan needs to take what the
defenses are giving him, not what he solely wants to run because he needs
to feel some bizarre pleasure over watching a certain play executed well.
At some point, he has to realize that he needs to win games and this
weekend would be a damned good start for him to get those thoughts in his
head. We'll know on the first punt return, whether it's Nunn or Grixby,
as to how he's going to operate this season.

And Bo Pelini's team gave up a 21 point lead to lose. He deserves any
criticism he gets as well. I still believe he's vastly overrated as a
defensive coordinator. That's not because he's a former Nebraska coach.
It's because I can't recall a big game in which his defenses have
performed well, and in the case of LSU, he had a large cushion to work
with.

With regards to Texas Tech and Cosgrove - I don't blame a defensive
coordinator for getting shellacked when they come up against Mike Leach
for the first time. Look at what Leach and his offense did to Cal in last
year's bowl game for an example. I remember watching a video of the TT
game and we had so many guys out of position, it was clear that the
defense didn't know what they were doing anyway.
