[Husker] BASEBALL Trivia Question

Yep I am the ripe age of 65. My first year in Legion Ball was 1954 or 55, we
were State Champs for 4 years: I think Roger would be 69 if he were still
alive. You could be right about him playing for KC as it was so long ago I
don't remember where he went. I guess I will have to check out the Hall Of
Fame on him as it is unbelievable he is not there. There always was an
asterisk after his name because he played a longer season then Babe Ruth
did.
I believe Roger was born in Fargo, ND and went to High School there. If I
remember correctly he played for the Catholic HS there.
Dick Karre responded that Vance was born in Orient, IA but he is listed in
the Hall of Fame as being from Nebraska: you tell me why.
I hope Darin excels as it would great to say that one of my Alumni made it.

Who is Art Vance? He isn't in the Hall of Fame whether born in Nebraska or
not. The other five are correct. You must be a real old guy if you played
with Roger Maris. I saw him play when he was a member of the Kansas City
Athletics at Municipal Stadium in Kansas City. That was in 1958 or 1959 and
I was 10 or 11 years old. Unbelieveably, Maris is not in the Hall of Fame.
Was he born in North Dakota? If so he would be the only Hall of Famer to be
born in North Dakota. As much as I like Erstad, I don't believe he has Hall
of Fame stats.
