[Husker] in the lone star long-neck state, perhaps?

Texas has an open container law. You cannot have an open container in
the passenger part of the vehicle. That includes a whisky bottle that
has a top screwed on but the seal is broken. It's a fairly new law as I
recall.

So even in backwards Texas this is a law. I agree -- Brent must have
been acting like a jerk to get the ticket. And I also agree -- that
this is only going to be discussed on this list and other lists who are
amused by Mussberger getting a little come-uppance. It really doesn't
concern me in the slightest, except that it's very amusing to me to
imagine the scene.

I don't know about the actual law, but certainly this offense was
rarely, if ever, procecuted while I lived in Houston. we all thought
the law was "you may not be drinking while you are actually driving;
however, having an open bottle/can - that's OK. drinking while sitting
in traffic, not actually moving (which we did a lot of in Houston) -
that's OK, etc"
sorry, not Husker-related.
