I agree. I thought Solich was poorly treated and was glad to see Ohio
whip Pitt, but I can't imagine wanting the Huskers to lose this game or
do badly in the future. Likewise, I can't imagine why Pederson seemed
unhappy after Solich's last win (unless he was worried that it made
firing Solich more difficult).

I agree that things seem to be improving. I'm sure Callahan is learning
about being the head football coach of college team with fans who have
very high expectations. I hope he is making the adjustments that will
lead to more success than he had last year.

> I don't think Callahan will go anywhere for at least 3-4 years.

I disagree. If Callahan doesn't improve on last year, he won't be here
3-4 more years. For example, if NU loses 2 of the next 3 or goes 6-5
or worse for the year, there will be high pressure for some changes.
If it continued next year, I think there would be a change, perhaps
at AD and head football coach. I think two more bad years (including
thie year) is all that would be tolerated, before there would be a
change.

I disagree here too. I think NU is a great opportunity and there are
many coaches who would love the challenge. For example, many would
consider Glenn (Wyoming) an attractive candidate with a good resume.
NU could attract even more prominent candidates.
