[Husker] Cheap Tickets (No I'm not selling just commenting)

Good Evening All:

While snooping around the 'net tonight I found it quite surprising to find ticket brokers (including Ticket Express here in Omaha) selling tickets for Saturday night's game against Wake Forest in Lincoln for as little as $19 each. In fact you could purchase some pretty decent seats for face value or less for this game. This is not a good sign.

Tickets for the Pittsburgh, Iowa State and Texas Tech games can be had for as little as $79 each right now and the cheapest tickets for Oklahoma are $129, with Kansas State fetching $119 per seat for the cheapest seats. These prices are obviously subject to fluctuation depending on how the season progresses. 

While the sellout string is not in jeopardy for this season I have to think it is in serious jeopardy next season. As everyone knows we will open up 6,000 more seats next year and if we repeat or even come close to the same record as last season I think there's going to be problems selling some of those high altitude seats in the north endzone. 

The times they are a changin, and quite possibly not for the better in Lincoln.
