Difficulty scoring in the red zone is a problem ascribed to the West
Coast offense. I hope that NU will develop a better running game than
they showed in this game. First and goal from the two and they call
three straight pass plays?

I just hope that this is not going to continue as a Callahan flaw. He did
the same thing last year to end the game against Southern Miss, and we ended
up with a loss despite having rammed the ball down their throats all the way
down the field to get into scoring position. I hope that he doesn't have some
kind of ego issue where he is set on proving that he can pass it in from the
one regardless of whether it costs the Huskers more games.

IMHO, with over 1500 pounds of O-line and a big fullback leading the way,
the QB or I back has almost a ton of beef to follow over the goal line.
Throwing from inside the 2 should be a one-shot deal, followed by a big punch in
the mouth on the ground if it doesn't work.

then again, my record as a football coach is 0-0, so what do I know? 25
years of watching the Big Red notwithstanding.

GBR!!
