[Husker] First Game Thoughts

I think he may be on to something.  
 
The line had difficulty executing and maintaining its blocks during the entire game.  Holes quickly disappeared and it wasn't until briefly in the 4th quarter that the line seemed to wear Maine down.  Nothing like it used to be unfortunately, at least as I saw it.  Perhaps even the coaches were aware that the blocking wasn't going quite as planned when they called three straight pass plays on the two yard line.  
 
Maybe one reason Zac Taylor looked so good in the Spring Game was the caliber of the defense he had in front of him?  Just a thought.  He looked pretty good in the first half, but something changed in the third quarter.  He wasn't nearly as sharp, either in his throws or his reads, at least as I saw the game from row 81 in the south stadium.
