[Husker] First week Jitters?

I'm typically a very optimistic "Husker Goggles" kinda guy.  But the
people on this list either didn't watch the game, or they are more
optimistic than I.

I would grade this game as a D+.  Mostly negatives with just a few
positives.

Negatives:

1) TURNOVERS!!!  HOLY CRAP!!!  Didn't we just go through this?

2) Offensive line was anything but offensive. :)

3) Just like Joe Dailey last year Zac Taylor was great the first half
and horrible the second.

4) Did I say TURNOVERS!!!!!!

5) 25-7 vs an average Div 1aa opponent?  Are we that bad that this is
a good score?

6) The playcalling seemed weird.  I'm willing to chalk this up to
Callahan 'feeling out' his players, but we'd have a possession with
nothing but rushes and the next possession would be nothing but
passes.  It didn't seem so much that he was 'mixing it up' as much as
'For this drive I'll try....'

7) At least we didn't turn the ball...  Oh wait TURNOVERS!!!

8) Red zone offense?  Can't punch it in against a weak Div 1AA
opponent?

9) We didn't seem to have much depth @ corner, because as soon as our
#1 guy went down, BAM LONG touchdown pass.

10) U guessed it, turnovers.

POSITIVE!!!!!

1) I coulda sworn we had a return game tonight!  Wow!  As someone
mentioned, we had 10 more return yards tonight than all of last
season.

2) I-Backs look good when not fumbling

3) Zac Taylor + Frantz Hardy = Good thing

4) D-Fense!!!  They played great sans a play mentioned in #9 above

5) 11 Sacks!!!  WOW!  Even against a patsy, that's good.

6) Octavian sure seemed to be the real deal and is part of a very good
and very deep linebacker core.  Let's hope he's healthy soon.

7) Bo Ruud might be All-American if Octavien is out too long.

8) Good D-line movement

9) Hit our TE's a little bit tonight, that was nice to see

10) Nice punting by Koch again :)

Maybe it was only a C- I guess.....
