I read the posts.  I thought it was possible that NU would go 6-5.
I believe strongly that 6-5 is under-achieving for the program this
year.  Given the changes in staff, philosophy, etc., I expected 8-3
would be quite satisfactory, better than 8-3 was possible but would
be better than expected, and less than 8-3 was possible but would
be worse than expected.  The defense has improved, the special teams
have improved, but the offense is woeful (especially the line) and
there are still problems in other areas.  No one doubted it was
possible, but how that outcome is judged is another matter.  How
6-5 against this schedule can be viewed happily is beyond me.  I
doubt that Callahan or Peterson would be happy with 6-5.
