[Husker] Some somments

I've stayed mum for most of this season in an attempt to maintain
equipoise regarding the Huskers, and the only cannon fodder I offer
atg this point are several comments:

1. When it became clear that Matt Herian was not going to play this
year, it became clear that the Huskers would have limited success.
Reason: the WC offense requires a big, strong, pass-catching tight
end in order to function properly.

2. The unsettled O-line was clearly a question mark even during fall
camp, particularly at tackle. Any coach will tell you that his team
is as good as his tackles.

3. During last year's recruiting, I felt strongly that some
scholarships being meted out to "skill" positions should have gone
toward bolstering the O-line. Perhaps I was wrong, but it doesn't
look that way.

4. This Husker team is remarkably young, and young players tend to
make mistakes like thoseover the past three weeks. Nothing cures that
but time and experience.

5. Zach Taylor is playing as well as can be expected, given the
circumstances. RSFs Nate Swift and Todd Peterson are playing three
levels above what should be expected. Ditto Corey McKeon and Cody
Glenn.

6. I have no idea why Zach Taylor has played every offensive down
this year while Joe Ganz has not handled even one snap. If this
continues, Harrison Beck will have a redshirt year whether he wants
one or not. Frankly, it seems a pity to burn his redshirt year at
this point.

7. Almost no one has mentioned special teams which have played
extremely well. Guess no one remembers Dr. Tom's axiom that a squad
had three first teams. Rigoni is due for a Medal of Valor or some
sort.
