I have written such a letter to the U, myself.  Now I am not a big money
contributer but NU needs all the $ it can get now. 
 
I think the reason that SP is staying quiet is this precise reason. He 
hopes he can ride out the storm.  Maybe, maybe not.

one of 2 events will cause SP to be fired,  BC being shown the door 
or the sellout streak ending.  I am afraid we are close to the latter. 
How many posts have we seen for tickets at face value ?  For Utah State,
I can understand (same with Maine),  bot for OU ?  With a poor showing
the remainder of the season, a weak home non-conf game may not sell out
