[Husker] Would a 6-5 Nebraska team be bowl-eligible?

My understanding is that you could count a single 1-AA
win every other year. Starting next year, you can
count it every year.
Some people speculated last fall that the reason we
stopped discussions with Houston to play Maine was
that we didn't need to count last year's Western
Illinois win for bowl eligibility.
Of course, of bigger concern is finding another win on
this season's schedule. Kansas State is improving.
Kansas may be the best in the North on defense. And
Colorado is the best overall in the North.
I still think the Huskers could win them all, but they
also could lose them all.
