I'm not sure about the nature of the irony, but the first-half comeback
against Missouri was largely the result of the defense:  a blocked punt
recovered at the Missouri 1 (sandwiched between NU's prior offensive
series which began at the NU 23 and ended at the NU 20 and the
subsequent offensive series which began at the NU 25 and ended at the
NU 22) and a fumble return to the Missour 9 (which followed the
offensive series that began at the NU 23 and ended at the NU 20 and
which was NU's last offensive series of the half).  Credit the defense
for most of NU's comeback against Missouri (albeit that the defense
allowed Missouri score 21 points in the first half).  The WCO still
has a long way to go at NU.
