[Husker] Huskers vs Mo today

You know I got the fox channels last month on DirecTV (they treat it as
part of the sports package so the charge depends on how many other
premium channels you have).  You also get ESPNU and CSTV.  CSTV has a
ton of volleyball and soccer and non-traditional TV sports.  So if
you're into that, it's kind of cool.  ESPNU also replays a lot of games
that were only shown on their GameDay package, which is pretty cool too.

But this isn't a marketing post for DirecTV.  It's an irritation post at
Fox regional TV.  I can't stand them.  If the game is good it's either
on all of the channels (making the package worthless) -- or not viewable
in your area.  They have more blackouts than Bagdad.  Anyway, I'm not
sure if I will keep it yet -- but a word of advice on negotiating your
deal -- I wrote DirecTV a complaint about their sports package and they
had someone call me trying to get me to change my package.  I resisted
and so she offered me the sports pack free for 6 months.  I resisted
again and she offered it to me free for a year (although I have to
remember to call them in March to renew because their system is only is
setup to do it for 6 months.  Hopefully their notation system is
reliable).  So, apparently negotiating your channel package is like
buying a car.

For those with Direct TV, the game is on several of the Fox Sports Net
Channels at 12:30 Eastern, but not all the FSN channels, and may also be
on PPV probably at a  higher price. 
 
Another option is to buy the "Sports Package" for $12/mo and get all the
FoxSN channels [plus several others for a total of 25 Sports channels].
As long as you keep it for over 30 days there's no cancellation
charge...who knows there  might even be another game on Fox.
