I'm glad to see that the complex shifting we were doing is gone. It's 
eliminated the drive-killing penalties of the Pitt game, and it also shows 
that Callahan can adapt to whatever we need. Maybe it's obvious to some 
that Callahan was willing to change, but for a while there, you couldn't 
tell...! 

I agree with your comments on the blitz versus cover option and Cosgrove. 
Maybe he does this because getting caught in the wrong blitz at exactly 
the wrong moment gives up enormous plays, like Ross' 70 yard middle screen 
versus ISU. Maybe there's something to the effect that if we force an 
offense to throw, say, 8 or 9 passes to complete a scoring drive that it's 
less dangerous than potentially giving up one or two plays in a scoring 
drive. 

I suppose at a lot of it is Cosgrove's personal philosophy. Why does 
everyone complain about the Prevent defense, but it's used a lot in the 
situation it's meant for?
