Although I'm not sure the pollsters would agree, I
could make a better argument for us being ranked at
4-1 than I could at 4-0.  There has been dramatic
improvement over the last 3 weeks.

Yesterday, we spotted Tech 21 points.  Maybe more if
we hadn't blocked that field goal.  We opened the game
by not trying to pressure Hodges, the Tech QB. 
Today's Weird-Harold quoted the staff as saying that
was by design, but one would have to argue that was a
failure since the 1st quarter looked like a
continuation of the 2nd half from last year's
embarassment.  After they went up 21-0, Cosgrove
decided to take a chance on the blitz package and Tech
was essentially shut down the rest of the way. 
Unfortunately, he let up at the start of Tech's final
drive, and Hodges made us pay again.
