[Husker] Darn. Darn darn darn darn darn

What a heartbreaker of a game. Like some of the other commenters, I hated
the fact that LeKevin Smith had the game in his hands, and didn't just take
a knee. (And did anyone else notice that, had Bo Ruud been watching the QB
on that last TD pass instead of looking into the end zone, he could have
stuck out a hand and swatted the ball away?)

The Blackshirts are not perfect (else they would have shut down TTech on
that last drive, nor allowed 21 points early on), but they are very, very
good (2 turnovers on the Nebraska side of the field yielding only 6 points,
which easily could have been 14).

It's hard to feel too bad about this loss. It's certainly less likely to
engender a team collapse than 70-10 did last year. I frankly had resigned
myself to a loss at 21-0. Even spotting the opponent a three-touchdown lead
and five turnovers, we still had the lead with 5 minutes left in the game,
and it took a tremendous series against a hostile crowd for Texas Tech to
come away with the win. They deserve to be ranked, at least until they get
dismanted by Texas.
