Sometimes I consider it a pity that UNL didn't make a try for Leach.

If there's one thing that's clear about his approach to offensive football,
it is that he make what most others consider impossible not only possible
but rather effective and sometimes nearly impossible to stop.

It may be a radically different style of offense from what Husker fans
were used to (as is the WCO), but defying conventional wisdom was the
hallmark of a football coach we admire greatly around here: Tom Osborne.

And unlike most of the bozos whose names surfaced during the search for
a coach two years ago (including Dave Wannstedt, who has yet to
demonstrate to me that he can make ANY football program a success),
Leach has a good track record, and IMHO he would have been a 'WOW!' hire.
