My guess is they'll show up at about #21 this week, and about #12 if they
beat TT. I think it'll take time (and two or three solid offensive
performances) to make enough believers among voters for the Huskers to
break into the top 10, even though IMHO there's a shortage of legitimate
top 10 teams right now.

Hopefully the new Harris poll will get some kinks out of the system
this week. Idaho??

Michigan, Oklahoma and Nebraska should all be back in the top 25 this week,
along with Penn State, restoring some sense of order to the football world.

The best part of today's game was that the west coast offense worked pretty
much as it usually does: lots of yardage but trouble in the red zone.

In days of old, had the Huskers had 450 yards of rushing offense, they
would probably have put at least 35 points on the board.

But for some dropped passes and one bonehead play (or play call, I'm not
sure which), the game shouldn't have gotten to overtime. I was impressed
with how they made what they had to make in the 1st overtime.

Holding ISU to 13 (in regulation) was much more impressive than holding
Pitt to 6.

What Nebraska still needs is some breakaway speed receivers, though a pass
to Ross in the flat is just a pitch play where the ball goes forward instead
of backwards, and he's as dangerous out there as any Husker running back
in a decade.
