[Husker] Which Bowl?

I don't see the Alamo bowl taking CU, with 3 straight losses and
probably low ticket sales. Would anyone really want an Iowa State -
Iowa rematch? I suppose there's some attraction to that but I don't
really see it. I sure don't see a 6-5 team being picked. That leaves
just one, our favorite team in red.

A CU upset would turn everything completely upside down unless Texas
still gets a BCS bowl over Ohio State, because they'd get the Cotton,
and everyone else gets pushed down a notch.

That would certainly please the Champs Sports people, but I doubt NU
will be available when it's their turn to pick. After the BCS, the order
is: Cotton, Holiday, Alamo, Independence, Houston, Champs Sports and
Fort Worth. Most suppose Tech will get the Cotton. For NU to slip to the
Champs Sports Bowl, the Holiday, Alamo, Independence and Houston bowls,
would all need to pass on NU in favor of four of the following:
    OU: 7-4; beat NU
CU: 7-5 (presuming a loss to UT); lost to NU; finished with 3
straight losses
ISU: 7-4; lost to NU; finished with a loss
MU: 6-5; beat NU, but finished with a loss
    KU: 6-5; beat NU
The Holiday could well take OU: the best Big XII team available, and I
can see the Alamo passing on NU, given that the Huskers have been there
twice in the last five years. But would the Independence and Houston
Bowls also pass on the Huskers? That would surprise me (though I've been
surprised before).
