[Husker] Bowls & NU Ticket Sales

There are a lot of Nebraska alums in Texas, I would think we'd get a
decent showing in the Houston Bowl, or maybe even the Ft Worth Bowl, or
if we somehow landed the Alamo Bowl (possible with a win Friday?). Our
last two Alamo Bowls had total attendance of 60,000 and 56,000 so I
imagine we had our fair share. Those were better teams and a better
bowl than we'll probably get, but maybe demand has built up with the
year off. :-) I've even heard a whisper of a Holiday Bowl with a win on
Friday, I imagine we'd do well in San Diego too. The only one I
wouldn't doubt at all is the Independence Bowl.

Greetings All:

On the subject of bowls there has been some discussion in other circles
about how many Nebraska fans will actually travel to a bowl game. Some
have stated that Nebraska will receive a higher tiered bowl based on the
fact that their fans travel so well.

My opinion on this is if we end up in Orlando NU will sell around 4,000
tickets max and that is only based on the fact that DisneyWorld is
nearby, any other bowl and I would be surprised if NU sells more than
2,000 to 2,500 tickets total.
