[Husker] Freshman Team?

I remember it was just their Junior year that they split, but they
continued to win and the team didn't seem to suffer from the switching
back and forth.

Maybe as Freshman it worked, but not later.  I can remember the
controversy when Tagge and Van Brownson  were upper classmates.  They
did split duty some I believe as Juniors, but Tagge was the starter in
all the games when they were Seniors.  That is, if my memory serves me
correctly.
