[Husker] Men's Basketball

Good Evening All:

The Husker Men's Basketball team got the season underway with a win tonight in Lincoln as Nebraska downed Longwood University 80-65, in the first round of the John Thompson Foundation Basketball Challenge. The Huskers will take on Yale tomorrow afternoon at 3:30 PM CT, and close out the tournament against Louisiana Tech on Sunday afternoon, also at 3:30 PM CT.

For those unfamiliar with Longwood University they are Division I and they are located in Farmville, Virginia. Longwood finished last season with a 1-30 record.

The men will return to action after a holiday break one week from Sunday (on November 27th) in Lincoln against Southeast Missouri State, tipoff is scheduled for 2:05 PM CT.
