I thought the "he (backup QB) couldn't possibly do any worse" argument
was thrown out for good last year when Davis couldn't even get to 3 &
out without a turnover until the 5th series of the Ttech game.  Are your
memories really that bad?

And in the second possession, Beck indeed didn't get to 3 & out.
Maybe Callahan thought Ganz was even more suspect to a turnover.

If Taylor was that valuable, why couldn't NU move the ball?  I mean
really, unless Beck is so bad that the turnover risk is huge, he could
have gotten the 3 and outs as well as Taylor.
