Here are a few quotes from the Callahan show tonight.

(3 Doors Down - Duck and Run playing in background)

Zac: "It's real hard to watch the end of a close game, you know, standing on
the sidelines, but Harrison went in there and he did what he was supposed to
do and, you know, I'm really happy for him because he got that first game
out of the way, and it was a big win for him."

Harrison: "You play football for a reason. You got adversity. You gotta come
back from adversity. For me to throw that pick...the team still had
confidence in me, the running backs still had conficence, the line, the
receivers...is huge."

Cory: "Definately. Exactly what we wanted to do, man. Whether we beat 'em
bad or it was a close game like it was today, man, we just wanted to come
out with a victory, and you know, get one for all the seniors, man, who have
been here for four or five years now."

Harrison: "You sit there the whole game, and then you get called in.....next
thing you know, there's like 2 minutes 3 minutes left and you gotta drive
down there and, we had some help with penalties, and the next thing you know
he's kicking the game winner and you're just like...wow...did this just
happen? Was this just my first time ever playing at Nebraska?"

The smiles on these guys faces told the whole story. I'll bet Harrison never
questions burning his redshirt, with a memory like that. Maybe any backup
could have done as well, maybe not, but he worked hard and earned the right
to be the one to come in when Zac got hurt, and he was elated to do what he
could to win this game...no matter what game in the season it was.

I'm proud of my Huskers. Congrats to all the kids and coaches!

Monty
