According to the news reports this was discussed throughout the season
and Beck wanted to play.  I just had a conversation with a couple of the
seniors in the high school I teach in.  I asked them if everything was
equal such as academics and money would you rather go somewhere you
could play right away or go to a more "prestige" school and wait around
a couple of years on the scout team.  The unanimous choice was play. 
Beck is a year removed from these seniors and I bet his choice would be
the same as theirs.

Plus it is not like it is a big surprise - if you are #2 on the depth
chart that means more that just seeing your name on a list.

There was some talk about Taylor coming back into the game on the radio
and among the fans around me.  I am very happy that he didn't come back
in.  NO game not even football is worth risking the life and health of
someone that has been knocked out on the field, not before they can be
properly evaluated.
