[Husker] playing CU

even though I've been increasingly disgusted each of the past five weeks, and have become increasingly convinced our program as now sunk to new depths, and that season was completely lost, I couldn't help listen to the game today on internet radio. Seems like no matter how hopeless the situation looks, I'm stuck getting caught up in the game. Anyone else like that (even SP/BC haters?)
which brings me to the game in Boulder. Doesn't today's events change the dynamics somewhat in our favor? ergo...
1. Winning today relieves us all the issues of losing streak, losing season and bowl eligibility. Now all that pressure is pretty much off.
2. CU losing today puts pressure on them. They must beat us to win the B12N.
3. In the shoe's on the other foot dept, now _we_ have a chance to ruin _their_ season. That's some nice motivation.
4. Since CU lost to a team that we beat (I know the transitive principle isn't very useful in college FB), it still reminds everyone that this game is very winnable.
5. all that said, I'd like to be more optimistic about this team (players and coaches) than I really am. They haven't shown us (or at least me) enough to give me anything resembling "good energy". But at least I think the game has the potential to be interesting. I wasn't so sure about that this morning.
