It seems to me that rather than burn a years worth of eligibility of a very talented player Firing the line up and telling them they needed to take control of the game with a very experienced runner controlling the ball and the clock.  I know they had not earned that kind of trust, but sometimes you ask things that are a stretch and let the players grow into them    Some times call for you make believe you have a running game and hope it comes true.
