>From the great rumor mill: I play golf with a guy who
knows a kid on the team (from the same hometown) and
the kid told him that Beck had pretty much told the
team he was transferring after this year because they
had went after Freeman when BC had said he wouldn't go
after other qbs. Now if this is true or not I dont
know but if it is it may have played a part as to his
playing today or not. If he has told the team that
then BC probably doesnt care if he burns his redshirt,
I wouldn't blame him either, and maybe he thought that
if he did burn it he would have to think twice about
transferring. I guess only Beck and Callahan know if
this is true for sure and we will have to wait to see
at seasons end. 
As far as who to put in, why not Ganz or Adams. Or
even Davis. I can remember last year when these guys
were recruited a lot of people were saying that one of
these guys would be the next starter.
