[Husker] ugly wins and redshirts

A few thoughts about today's game:

1. A win is better than a loss, therefore an ugly win is still better
    than a loss.

2. I don't see Beck's playing today as significant in the long run, though
I think he played a key role in this year's season. There seems to
be a theory among some fans that redshirts are a God-given right.
I'm sure Beck knew that as the #2 QB he could be called upon to play
at any time. I'd rather have a player willing to take on that role,
if needed, than one who worries about whether that means he might not
be playing at the college level in 2009.

3. How many people had ever heard of Poulan before they sponsored a bowl
game (which they no longer sponsor)?

4. If you could pick Nebraska's bowl opponent (and ignore all the
bowl agreements), would any of these schools be on your list? Rutgers,
Vanderbilt, Ohio, Tennessee or Northwestern. (Yeah, I know the first 4
    aren't bowl eligible--yet.)
